Company History

Morphy Richards soon became a leader in small electrical appliances. In 1949 they produced their first automatic toaster and by 1953 their first hairdryer. The company grew rapidly and by 1957 they were the UK’s leading supplier of electric blankets with 40% of their products being exported abroad.
